Birthday Dinner

So today is my fiance's birthday and I wanted to do something special for him. My father has a coworker who received Alaskan Salmon from a relative. He receives so much of it that he is usually especially kind and shares some of the frozen fillets with us! I decided to do baked salmon with fried rice.


I placed my cut fillets into little foil packets and added the juice of two limes, and a little bit of water. Earlier I had a pan melting butter mixed with a little extra virgin olive oil, a few splashes of soy sauce, spicy mustard, and a pinch of chili flakes. I had it melt and simmer for about 5 minutes and let it cool. I added my mixture to my salmon packets, folded them shut, placed them on a pan and baked them in the oven at 400 degrees for about 20 - 25 minutes.

The meal was seriously yummy! I will admit, I cheated on the friend rice. I bought some steam in a bag rice from our grocery store. The dressing is a simple mix of catalina or French style dressing mixed with spicy mustard and honey.

I'll admit, I am a sucker for pink so I was already completely drawn t this product. This razor simply screams summer and bathing suit season! I ripped into this package as soon as I could. Not only did it leave my legs feeling silky smooth and soft, my legs remained shred free! I have always had an issue shaving around my knees. Maybe I am just a schmuck with a razor, but I always manage to nick the area around my knees. I had absolutely no problems shaving with this razor. The pivoting head made it easy and painless when going over those troublesome areas.

Here are a few helpful tips found in my bzzguide to keep in mind when shaving:

• Shave at night
  Shaving removes dead skin cells and the superficial layer of skin. While this process is healthy, it reduces your skin's defenses for a couple hours. Shaving at night gives your skin time to recover its strength and suppleness to resist irritation the next day.
• Shave clean skin
  To help prevent infection and bumps, make sure your skin is perfectly clean before you shave. Apply hot water beforehand or shave after showering. Warm humidity increases skin elasticity and softens your hair, making it easier to shave.
• Apply shaving cream or gel
  Use shaving cream or gel with Aloe Vera when shaving — it's gentler on your skin than regular soap and can help lift hair. Lather the cream or gel, then leave it on for two minutes prior to shaving. Once your hair is softened, the razor will glide more easily over skin.
• Use a sharp blade
  Change your blades regularly, especially if you have sensitive skin. On sensitive areas like your bikini line and underarms, shaving with a dull blade can result in red spots.
