BzzCampaign: Fiber One® Protein Cereal Review

What better way to start the new year than with a new daily routine! The Spring Semester has begun for this blogger and thankfully I am in my final year! Since I am balancing clinicals and school, it is important for me to be able to eat right and stay energized (...lol I do try occasionally!) With all of the new wonderfully fun Bzzcampaigns going out this month, I was incredibly pleased to discover I had been selected to take part in the Fiber One Protein Cereal Bzzcampaign!

Included in my package was:
  • A FREE full-size box of NEW Fiber One® Protein Maple Brown Sugar Cereal
  • A FREE full-size box of NEW Fiber One® Protein Cranberry Almond Cereal
  • Pass along coupons for friends and family to save on either variety of NEW Fiber One® Protein Cereal
  • Bzzagent infor with bzz tips

How lucky can a girl be?! I was definitely looking forward to breakfast the following morning and was not disappointed! My personal favorite was the maple brown sugar. It was so yummy and so full of flavor. It stayed crisp, crunchy, and sweet even after adding the milk!

The added bonus of course was the protein & fiber! To quote bzzagent, " Fiber One Protein Cereal contains 10g of protein when served with milk and 20% daily value of fiber, making it a great option all day long!" You definitely can't go wrong.

This tasty cereal can also go beyond breakfast! This would make a great addition to any parfait or yogurt combo and adds a snazzy crunch to a cookie recipe. The possibilities are endless!

The verdict? This is a must try even for those with more particular tastes (aka sisters with picky taste buds lol)

Do you have some unique ways of eating this cereal other than as a tasty breakfast option? Share them in the comment section! We would love to see them.

Pinterest Test: Mini Taco Bowls

Who doesn't love tacos? Seriously! They are crazy delicious and fun to eat. I was looking for a new and fun recipe to try today and found a fun taco bowl recipe through Pinterest!

The post originates from Kraft foods, so it was bound to be delicious:

Alrighty, so we changed up the recipe just a tad to use what we already had on hand. I started by forming my taco bowls with store bought tortillas in a muffin pan. I formed mine inside the muffin tins rather than turn them over and it seemed to work out just fine, They baked for about  10-13 minutes at 350°F.

While they were baking, I already had my ground beef browning. Once I drained the grease, I added in finely chopped garlic and onion, salt and pepper, about a tsp of cumin, a tsp of chilli powder, and a few shakes of garlic pepper. I like my food a little spicy so I also seasoned my meat with a few splashes of hot sauce (Yum!)

I heated up my can of beans and just lightly added a little bit of salt and pepper

I had already diced up some lettuce, tomato and lime for toppings and I busted out our bag of shredded cheddar cheese.

Another topping I made was quicky corn and tomato salsa (corn, can of diced tomatoes and green chillies, salt, pepper, red chilli powder, lime)

We set up the dining room table with our dishes so everyone could pick and choose how they wanted to customize their taco bowls. It was a huge hit!

I HIGHLY recommend this pin! It is a fun way to server dinner to the people I love most. The conversation was great and everyone enjoyed the meal. Cleanup was a snap as I was able to keep dishes to a minimum and I wasn't worn out at all!

So was this project as easy as described?

The Verdict: YES!
