Bzzagent Campaign: Dentyne Ice Split2Fit Packs

What a pleasant surprise it was to come home after a long day of classes (running my online shop and taking my Fall semester college courses definitely keep me on my toes!) to find that one of my bzzagent campaign kits had arrived!

As I entered the living room, My younger sister (also a college student) and her boyfriend were relaxing on the sofas enjoying their usual crime shows. As soon as they saw the package in my hands, I saw smiles spread from ear to ear!

I sat down to open my package:

This was definitely a generous kit! There were two 3 count packs of the new Dentyne Ice Split2Fit packs of gum! that is 48 pieces of gum times two!

I seriously loved the Official Bzzguide that came in the package. The information was clever and witty and definitely fun to read. Here is the "Scoop" portion of my bzzguide for you to read:

The Scoop

Welcome to Split2Fit 101
So how, exactly, do you go from 1 Split2Fit 16 piece pack to 2 packs of 8? Welcome to Split2Fit 101. Please open your textbooks to page 1.
Step 1: Take your Split2Fit pack and open it up.
Step 2: Tear it right down the middle.
It's as simple as 1,2...well, yeah, just 1 and then 2. That's all there is. Now you're ready to slip a pack into your jeans or clutch and head out.
Advanced Split2Fit
Assuming you didn't somehow manage to flunk Split2Fit 101 the first time around, you now know to split your pack of gum into two distinct packs. But why would you need to do this? Here are some classic examples:
  • For the ladies!
  • Conversely: For the fellas!
  • You're always on the go and need your gum to be in two places at once, just like you
  • You show up to a party but forgot to bring a present
  • A bear stumbles into your path. Just trust us on this one
You have now successfully graduated from Split2Fit University. Magna Cum Laude, nonetheless. Please line up to the right for your diploma. (www.bzzagent.com)

_____________________________________

So after reading the guide, my first packet of gum was ...hmmm I guess the word mauled comes to mind! My sister and her boyfriend chose the spearmint and arctic ice packs while my mother chose the peppermint. They too have begun sharing their gum with fellow classmates, bandmates (my sister's boyfriend is in a band), and fellow friends and family. We have heard some amazing reviews about how easy it is to split the pack in two; one to go and one for the car, purse, desk, etc. It is definitely a convenient way to have some breath refreshing gum on the go without having to buy two separate packs!

Flavors include:

Peppermint
Arctic Ice
Spearmint
Cinnamon
Mint Frost

Boo and the Backyard Zoo is a fun tale of friendship and team work. When one of Boo's friends has hopes and dreams that are suddenly dashed by the local bullies, Boo, with the help of his new friends work together to help grant the little grape's wish. Book Review: Cassie and The Wild Cat: Meet and Greet

At the start of the week, I received a message from an author asking me to review some of his childrens books that are available on Amazon. I happily agreed, and thought I would share my reviews with you! There are four books  in total, so I will post 1 review each day. Today's book is:

Cassie and The Wild Cat: Meet and Greet

This is an adorable tale for just about anyone. The rhymes are enjoyable and easy to follow and the illustrations are adorable.  Cassie and The Wild Cat: Meet and Greet is a wonderful tale of two cats with their own Personalities. While one cat pulls her little antics, the other always seems to be one step ahead. In the end, the story teaches us the value of friendship and the unexpected places we find it. This lovely rhyming tale will bring a smile to your face and help us remember to have fun and value all the little things in life even if they may not seem so pleasant at the time.

Pinterest Test: Mini Taco Bowls

Who doesn't love tacos? Seriously! They are crazy delicious and fun to eat. I was looking for a new and fun recipe to try today and found a fun taco bowl recipe through Pinterest!

http://pinterest.com/pin/184718022187200791/

The post originates from Kraft foods, so it was bound to be delicious:

http://www.kraftrecipes.com/recipes/mini-taco-bowls-94521.aspx

Alrighty, so we changed up the recipe just a tad to use what we already had on hand. I started by forming my taco bowls with store bought tortillas in a muffin pan. I formed mine inside the muffin tins rather than turn them over and it seemed to work out just fine, They baked for about  10-13 minutes at 350°F.

While they were baking, I already had my ground beef browning. Once I drained the grease, I added in finely chopped garlic and onion, salt and pepper, about a tsp of cumin, a tsp of chilli powder, and a few shakes of garlic pepper. I like my food a little spicy so I also seasoned my meat with a few splashes of hot sauce (Yum!)

I heated up my can of beans and just lightly added a little bit of salt and pepper

I had already diced up some lettuce, tomato and lime for toppings and I busted out our bag of shredded cheddar cheese.

Another topping I made was quicky corn and tomato salsa (corn, can of diced tomatoes and green chillies, salt, pepper, red chilli powder, lime)

We set up the dining room table with our dishes so everyone could pick and choose how they wanted to customize their taco bowls. It was a huge hit!

I HIGHLY recommend this pin! It is a fun way to server dinner to the people I love most. The conversation was great and everyone enjoyed the meal. Cleanup was a snap as I was able to keep dishes to a minimum and I wasn't worn out at all!

So was this project as easy as described?

The Verdict: YES!
