Bzzagent Campaign Review: MorningStar Farms Veggie Burgers

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a life long meat eater. I love chicken, pork, beef, fish, you name it! I was offered the wonderful opportunity from Bzzagent.com to try my first ever veggie burger.

I am not going to lie, while I was excited about trying and reviewing another fabulous product, I was a bit sketchy as I have never had a burger that hadn't previously "moo'd" in it's past life. This was a pretty big deal for me.

So my bzzkit arrived, and I received some wonderful coupons for MorningStar Farms Veggie Products. I decided to play it safe and chose to go with their Grillers Prime Patties.

After trying them, I gotta say they got me! They are beyond delicious. I know it is so hard to believe, but they really do taste just like beef! No joke! They are incredibly delicious!

I served up our burgers sandwich style on toasted bread with lettuce, mozzarella, and  guacamole dressing and they were out of this world good! I am DEFINITELY going to be stocking up on these burgers this week. I found them locally on sale for about $2.67 for 4 veggie patties. I was amazed at how light they were to be honest. I am sadly so used to grease, that I was pleasantly surprised to be enjoying a nongreasy meal!

They also cook incredibly fast, so be sure to keep an eye on them while cooking. They definitely cook a lot faster than your standard beef patty.

Each patty is approximately 170 calories with 39% less fat than ground beef.

Here is a video follow-up of our yummy Meatless Monday Meal!

If you are looking for a new and fun recipe to try, fear not, Bzzagent has you covered:

Cheesy Black Bean Quesadilla Triangles

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 MorningStar Farms® Spicy Black Bean Veggie Burgers*
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese or Monterey Jack cheese (2 ounces)
  • 1/4 cup shredded Pepper Jack cheese (1 ounce)
  • 2 teaspoons salt-free Southwest or Mexican seasoning
  • 10 (8-inch) flour tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded lettuce (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped red or green bell pepper

DIRECTIONS

  1. In medium bowl toss together MorningStar Farms® Spicy Black Bean Veggie Burgers, salsa, cheddar cheese, Pepper Jack cheese and seasoning.
  2. Use pizza cutter to cut tortillas into 7-inch triangles. (Save trimmed edges for another use.)
  3. Place about 2 tablespoons burger mixture in center of each triangle. Fold corners of large triangles over filling, completely enclosing filling and making small triangles. Secure with toothpicks. Place on baking sheet, toothpick side up. Brush with butter. Bake at 375°F for 9 to 12 minutes or until beginning to brown on top.
  4. Arrange on top of shredded lettuce. Sprinkle with bell pepper. Serve immediately.

Pinterest Test + Bzzagent Review = Awesome!

Alrighty, we are shaking things up a bit! We are not only reviewing Neutrogena's fabulous Norwegian Formula Hand Cream again, but we are also including a new Pinterest Test along with it! Let's begin!

Pinterest Test: Pink and Glitter Nail Design

Pinterest Link: http://pinterest.com/pin/26599454019396798/

Alrighty, so this one was an easy one lol. The design is simple and sophisticated and perfect for a romantic Valentine's Day getaway (hopefully the fiance will get the hint!)

For this test, I used what I had on hand which was similar to the photo provided in the pinterest test above. Here are my results:

I decided to go with a chunky lite glitter rather than full on metallic polish and love the results! I used Neutrogena's Norwegian Formula Hand Cream before and after my manicure. My hands feel soft and my nails look vibrant! This is a product I am definitely pleased with ;)

This wonderful creams story started off the coast of Norway, where fishermen were suffering the effects of life on the open ocean. Wind, cold and water were wreaking havoc on their skin.
Those fishermen developed a glycerin-rich cream to weather any storm. When applied to their skin, they found it relieved years' worth of chapping, cracking and drying caused by the harshest conditions on the planet.

My hands have benefited greatly from this cream and so can yours! It is definitely worth purchasing.

To go along with today's review, I have created new video of my nail transformation for you to enjoy :) The fabulous music being played in the back was actually written and recorded by my sister's fiance, Abraham Martinez. He is definitely a talented individual. Enjoy!

Bzzagent Campaigns: Kellogg's Crunchy Nut Cereal - Roasted Nut and Honey O's

Who didn't love a big ol' bowl of cereal and milk while watching Saturday morning cartoons? Better yet, let's be honest, how many of us still do?! Sometimes, nothing beats a moment of nostalgia with my colorful cereal bowl, my favorite cereal, and some ice cold milk.

Bzzagent has done it yet again! I was given the yumtastic (that's a word right? lol) opportunity to try Kellogg's Crunchy Nut Cereal. I was sent a scrumptious bzzkit with my very own box of cereal completely free:

Mornings are hectic in our household, so cereal is a go-to meal in the mornings. I have always been a honey nut cheerios kind of girl, so this flavor really was right up my alley. The taste is absolutely amazing. It is sweet and crunchy and all kinds of yum. I love how each little o was crunchy till the last bite! No soggy cereal here, just honey roasted goodness in every bite. I ended up packing some in a baggie which turned into the perfect midday snack later!

I have already given out a few samples of this product along with my own short and simple survey. The results were:

Likes: great taste, stayed crunchy, makes a great snack

Dislikes: one individual felt the box was a little small compared to other brands.

Comments: A few people would love to see other flavors such as banana nut and apple cinnamon.

Another thing I really liked about this cereal was that for the most part I actually understand the ingredients:

Degerminated yellow corn meal, sugar, corn bran, peanuts, honey, contains 2% or less of molasses, salt, whole grain oat flour, caramel color, baking soda, annatto color, BHT for freshness, wheat starch, natural flavor (contains pecan, walnut and almond).

Overall, this cereal has been a hit with everyone I have encountered. It is definitely a product that we will be purchasing more of in our household.

Busy Hands!

Such a busy month and we are only in the 3rd day of it! Better yet, such a busy YEAR and we are only in the 3rd day! Our online shop did incredibly well over the holidays thanks to our wonderful followers and supporters. Enjoy this cuddly virtual hug from me to you :D *hug!*

I noticed that I had shifted my focus from our bows, which was what started this project to begin with, to our polymer clay charms and jewelry. With the new year, I decided to stock up on new fabric and get back to work on our bow selection.

That is just a tiny amount of our newest fabric bow choices :D. So after a few hours of cutting, folding, and sewing, I noticed I had a new stockpile of bows ready to wear!

Of course, I ended up keeping one or two for myself :P, but I made plenty for our shop! Right now, I have only listed the cheetah print bow set, but the others are coming soon!

So, what new projects have you started over the new year? We would love to hear from you!

Bzzagent Campaign Review: Redbox Instant by Verizon

A few weeks ago I was given the opportunity to try Redbox Instant by Verizon. I had heard so much about it and how it was going to topple streaming giant Netflix that I was off the walls excited. I have to admit, I had been disappointed with the quality, site bugs, and selection at first and gave it a negative review.

I might have been a little hasty with my previous review of this service. After waiting about a week, I decided to give it another go. We used Redbox instant over the new year as I really wanted to give others a view of the site rather than just relying on my poor opinion. Here are some of our pus ratings we found. First, we liked the fact that we could rent movies from home without having to brave the cold air, rain and heavy traffic that comes with new year's eve. The selection has really gotten much better since the site first opened. We also like that we can purchase movies directly from the website. Things that need to improve: While the selection is getting MUCH better, at almost the same price as Netflix, it isn't quite there yet, but as it is still new the site can only get better! There are still some issues with video lag that we encountered, but nothing too horrible. All in all, I really have to retract my previous negative review and give this site a thumbs up. It is going to take some time along with patience from their subscribers, but this could definitely turn into a very promising site.

Nail Polish Design Using Neutrogen s Hand Cream

Here it is! My very first youtube video. lol this may not be the very best video, but it is all mine. It is 2013 and it is time for some fun and flirty nails. After painting my nails a fabulous Big Apple Red, I topped my hands of with Neutrogena's Norwegian Formula hand cream and they have never felt better!
